These were the most eloborate Conn saxophones ever made with extravagant engraving and full pearl touches. Serial numbers can be found in a variety of places on different instruments. However, I am also looking at a holton model 230 alto that I am interested in purchasing. The engraving says Frank Holton Elkhorn, Wis. It has the G lever trill key and the trill Eb key as well. Wonder Improved & Wonder Perfected - Elkhart IND I looked at a serial number chart and it puts this alto around 1915 but I doubt that that is true. Wonder Improved - Elkhart IND & Worcester MASS
